So I am listening to Pulse 87 (87.7fm a dance music station in Queens, NY) today and I hear this hot song entitled Medicine. I take the lyrics of the hook and Google them to find the artist which turned out to be a young lady named Kim Leoni. Kim Leoni a Cloud 9 Dance artist who is half Indonesian and Dutch currently resides in The Netherlands. She previously lived in Miami, FL. Kim Leoni's music speaks for itself with close to 466,000 profile views and close to 2 million total plays on her Myspace page.

Feelings of an Emotionless Man

Right now I cannot sleep and it is 1:35am. I have been struggling with states of depression I guess due to lack of success. Not to mention there are very few people I can trust in the world. It seems that almost everyone you encounter at some point or other wants to inflict harm on you. In order to achieve your goals you have to be able to overcome the obstacles. My life is a novel with countless twists and turns. I will not allow people to weigh me down thus hindering my success. I am about to say screw friendship because I do not believe that the actions of this word exist. People use the terms "true love" and "true friends" to show that without the "true" the words alone are "false". Do not get me wrong I do not believe I live in an ideal world, I just want to live the Golden Rule. Does anyone even live by this Rule anymore other than me? I seem to never have the respect that I give other people reciprocated. I know that I am not perfect in the least. I have said things that I am not proud about in reference to people I love. I have to learn tact and when to just shut up. However, I do not purposely try to hurt someones progress or their emotions. Honesty is what I give but I always end up associating with dishonest, disloyal, selfish, manipulative, conniving, spiteful, immature people. I have realized that I have no control over how other people act toward others - specifically myself. I am now aware of the persona's and demeanor's of these traits of people that do not compliment my personality. Therefore I decided to travel on the road less traveled alone.

Writers Block Part 2: God Will Guide Me

It has been nearly two weeks since I have written a verse let alone a song. Some might say just hang it up it's not meant for you. While others will say don't worry it will come when it's time. I have been feeling very "blue" as of late. Which is no reason to not create music but I do not want to create crap. I love music entirely too much to just lay anything down. I got an e-mail alert on my phone the other day from my YouTube account a fan commented on my page asking me why I had stopped making music. That brief question hit me hard. I have not given up nor do I plan on giving up on my dream, however, I might have lost some motivation. With the birth of my son I definitely gained motivation and more determination. My brother Marcus whom I trust with any and everything helped me with my "swagger" in his brief block leave a month ago (I love you Cus). I also gained more confidence knowing that I do have fans who do not want me to lose focus nor stop making quality songs. I just want you to know that I am going to go harder than ever, expect to see me on stage alone/alongside your favorite artists (all genres included). I really believe that she has great talent (she's only 21) and I am interested to hear what she has in store for the future. I just finished watching the entire first season and had to post my nostalgic moment. In Living Color has to be one of my favorite all time sketch comedy series tied with Chappelle Show. The show aired from April 15, 1990 – May 19, 1994.
