Jade of Blind Benny

Again I was checking out Kid Cudi's Blog only this time it was over a year ago. Where I came across his post on this lovely lady Jade <3. Being that I like Kid Cudi as an artist I chose to check Jade <3 out since Cudi referred her album. I was instantly impressed with the songstresses voice.

Jade <3's EP it's my heart, cookie had won me over. My favorite IMHC tracks are Take the Hit feat. Theophilus London, Up and Out, He Needs Me and Drown Me Out. I even used her song Sometimes You Can't Say it Enough as my Moms ringtone.

After many shows promoting IMHC Jade <3 decided to put out a IMHC Remix album. As Jade <3 and her band Blind Benny continue to blossom I cannot wait to see what is next on their agenda.

Lissie - When I'm Alone

I was checking out Kid Cudi's Blog a few weeks ago where he posted Lissie covering his Pursuit of Happiness song (click here for the post).

After hearing Lissie put her own spin on that song I had to hear more, original material. I got what I asked for when I found Lissie's YouTube page. Her debut album Catching A Tiger was released in the UK on June 21, 2010. Unfortunately, I could not purchase the album from the UK iTunes Store because I do not have a credit card with a billing address in the UK. Therefore I have to wait until Catching A Tiger is released in the US on August 10, 2010.

Vintage (A Class Back In Time)

About a month ago I took my girlfriend to a few Vintage shops in Jersey City, NJ. Here are my favorite women's clothing pics from the website of one store in particular called Another Man's Treasure Vintage Store.

This jacket would better suit me.

Karina Pasian covers Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

Here is miss Pasian again singing her soul out. This time the setting is a friends wedding and the song is Whitney Houston's I Will Alway's Love You off the 1992 original soundtrack The Bodyguard.

Karina Pasian covers Michael Jackson - Butterflies/ 16 @ War Video

Karina Pasian singing Michael Jackson's Butterflies off his 2001 album Invincible. Karina can really blow for one she's laying down and still doing well with notes. Man I love talent. If you do not recognize her maybe the video below will jog your memory.

Rhymefest feat. Citizen Cope - Bullet (2006 Flashback) & Citizen Cope - Bullet and a Target (2004 Flashback)

My brother put me on to this song years ago. The message that Rhymefest spews is hard-hitting and Citizen Cope's vocals are infectious. Actually Rhymefest song Bullet off his 2006 album Blue Collar, derives from Citizen Cope's original song Bullet and a Target off his 2004 album The Clarence Greenwood Recordings. Great raw music still lives!

Somethin' For The People - My Love Is the Shhh! (90's Flashback)

I used to jam to this song when it came out and I still do. At that time SFP still consisted of Trina and Tamara.

Busta Rhymes feat. Ol' Dirty Bastard - Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check (The Worldwide Remix) (90's Flashback)

Man this was when Busta was extremely animated all around. Mix that with the always animated Wu-Tang Clan member Ol' Dirty Bastard and you have a classic remix.

Timbaland presents Shock Value II

Timbaland is my favorite producer of all time!   Now that I got that off my chest lets get into the review.  From beginning to end SVII does not disappoint.  Timbaland has once again created some great tracks along with a great ensemble of artists.  SVII like its predecessor SV has delivered quality music for everyone to vibe and have fun to.  Aside from the singles my favorite songs are Long Way Down feat. Daughtry, We Belong to the Music feat. Miley Cyrus, Ease Off The Liquor, Can You Feel It feat. Esthero & Sebastian, Undertow feat. The Fray & Esthero, Lose Control feat. JoJo and Marchin On (Timbo Version) feat. OneRepublic.  As far as I am concerned this album has many more singles to come.
