Writers Block Part 1

Man it gets tough when you have a lot of things to say, your mind races on end and life's constant stresses weigh on you. Music is my therapy, however, at the moment I don't have the words to explain to my therapist (music - for those who take long) exactly what I am going through. I see all of the artist that I am feeling right now and past artist that I felt continuing to excel and grind. While I keep hitting these roadblocks from a job that I don't love but supports my family. Even though I suffer from writers block at the moment when I do get back to spilling my guts on paper great things will be achieved. God has blessed me with a gift that I am truly passionate about and I won't let it slip away from me by not utilizing it.

Keri Hilson - Knock You Down feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo

My favorite female R&B writer right now. One of my favorite male R&B writer/singer of all time. One of my favorite artist/rappers/producers of all time. All one one track. What is to come of this? A hit. I also like the video nice direction.

Sex Slaves In The Suburbs on MSNBC

I watched this special on MSNBC a few months ago and it really upset me to know that teen sex slavery is a growing problem in the United States. I had to address this issue when I saw the special again a few days ago. One teen in particular Shauna Newell was kidnapped drugged, raped by numerous men and beaten. At the time of her kidnapping Newell was 16 years of age. Many young women are kidnapped in the United States and forced into prostitution. Their adds are displayed all across the web for "a good time" this is disgusting. Eventually the drugs and abuse make the children become dependent upon there captors. Therefore they would even become brainwashed to feel they have to protect them if needed. Shauna Newell was blessed to be spotted and rescued from her assailants. Something has to be done to stop this rising issue and to save the lives and mental/emotional well beings of these children and their families.

Canadian's Protest US Super Villain and Former US President George W. Bush

George Bush gave a speech on March 17, 2009 in Alberta, Canada at Calgary’s Telus Convention Centre. Bush was met by both guest and over 200 protesters. The Canadian's condemned the super villain for being a War Criminal. The protesters also flung shoes outside the Convention Centre to display more disgust for the super villain. One protester tried to make a citizens arrest but was himself then arrested by police.

Boondocks Seasons 1 and 2 by Aaron McGruder

Aaron McGruder's racy animated comedy is one of my favorite shows to watch. My favorite characters are Uncle Ruckus (the darkest man on the planet who not only worships white people but believes he is one) and Huey Freeman (a 10 year old revolutionary and lover of martial arts who believes he can make people see the evils of the world but always ends up with no one understanding what he is talking about). It comes on Cartoon Network part of the Adult Swim programming. This show is definitely for mature audiences with that said check the show out and enjoy. Season 3 is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2009.

Ryan Leslie

I have been meaning to buy the self-titled Ryan Leslie album and had the chance to shop on Itunes yesterday. I didn't get to listen to it until tonight and I like the whole album. I would have to say my favorite songs aside from the singles are Valentine and Out of the Blue. I hope this album takes R. Les to the high-level of success he deserves. Along with longevity as not just a producer but and artist as well.
